What an incredible year. Over the course of 2017, we grew from a team of 30 to over 100 employees (or Nauts as we refer to ourselves) across our offices in Palo Alto, Tokyo, and Dublin. But most importantly, we made tremendous strides in helping our customers make their fleets safer and smarter. Here are some highlights from the past year:
Value for our customers
In April, we delivered the second generation of the Nauto Device. Since then, we have helped our customers around the globe enhance fleet safety.
Gary Tournier, owner of Transportation Management Corporation in St. Paul, Minnesota put it simply, “...with the Nauto system, the constant evaluation that we have enables us to target areas which we need to retrain the drivers to make a pro out of them and keep them on the top of their game."
The company’s drivers are also seeing the benefits with Michael Johnson stating, “This is a life saving device we have in our car today." We’re thrilled to hear feedback like this from our customers and look forward to sharing more stories this year.
Safer and smarter fleets (around the globe)
2017 also brought us onto the global stage with new partners. We opened our Tokyo and Dublin offices to bring our innovative solution to the Japanese and European markets.
New partnerships have reinforced our offerings and will deliver stronger safety solutions to our customers. In July, we announced that Nauto would be available on the Geotab Marketplace.
In the same month, we launched our partnership with Atlas Financial Holdings to streamline insurance claims processing while enhancing the safety of Atlas fleet customers.
A foundation for a strong future
In addition to announcing our partnerships in July, we reached another significant milestone: our $159M Series B led by Softbank and Greylock Partners.
The funds have enabled us to continue building a world-class team to support our customers and partners, while also investing in our hardware and software products to keep drivers safer on the road and equip fleet managers with unparalleled insights and tools to manage the safety of their fleets.
Of course, 2017 would not have been possible without you: our customers, partners, investors, and friends. Thank you all for the support.
We’re thrilled about 2018 and even more excited to help fleets become even safer and smarter with new products and features this year.
If you’d like to start 2018 with us, please find time to meet us at CES in Las Vegas. Until then, from all of us at Nauto: we wish you a Happy New Year and look forward to an even better 2018.
